About Perseus (ASX:PRU)

Perseus Mining Limited is an ASX-listed gold producer headquartered in Perth. It operates the Yaouré and Sissingué gold mines in Côte d'Ivoire and the Edikan gold mine in Ghana, and is developing the Nyanzaga gold project in Tanzania.

Perseus (ASX:PRU)' September quarter report shows Q1 FY27 gold production ahead of plan, which the company says keeps it on track for FY27 guidance as its Nyanzaga project nears first production.

Group gold production was 92,551 ounces at an All-In Site Cost (AISC) of US$2,035 per ounce, which the company says was 5% higher than Q4 FY26, mainly from higher processing costs during major planned maintenance at all sites. Gold sales were 99,661 ounces at a weighted average realised price of US$3,881 per ounce, for an average cash margin of US$1,846 per ounce and notional operating cashflow of US$171 million. Cash and bullion reached US$900 million, plus liquid listed securities valued at US$338 million. Yaouré's CMA Underground achieved commercial production on 1 July 2026. Nyanzaga reached 88.4% overall progress, with US$407.6 million of the US$483 million approved budget incurred, and remains scheduled to produce gold in January 2027. FY27 guidance is 420,000 - 480,000 ounces at US$1,835 – 2,070 per ounce. Perseus has bought back 1,019,938 shares under an on-market buy-back of up to A$350 million.

Of the planned A$100 million Special Distribution, a Capital Reduction of up to A$70 million needs shareholder approval at the AGM, and Perseus has applied for an ATO Class Ruling on its tax treatment. Commissioning at Nyanzaga has not yet started.
