About Amotiv (ASX:AOV)

Amotiv Limited is an ASX-listed automotive aftermarket company headquartered in Melbourne. It designs, sources and distributes vehicle parts and accessories, including 4WD accessories, trailering equipment, lighting, power and electrical products, and powertrain and undercar components, mainly in Australia and New Zealand.

Amotiv (ASX:AOV) cut its FY27 outlook after a challenging first quarter and worsening conditions, and now expects revenue and underlying EBITA excluding VAFI to fall rather than show the modest growth it expected in August.

Like-for-like Group revenue for the first quarter of FY27 was 5% below the prior corresponding period, which the company attributes mostly to the 4WD Accessories & Trailering Division, subdued new vehicle and pick up sales, and supply disruption from flooding in Thailand that affected OEM plant production days. Lighting, Power and Electrical revenue was broadly flat and Powertrain and Undercar revenue grew marginally. Gross margins improved on the prior year, while operating costs were affected by one-offs and inflationary increases. Amotiv cites persistent Middle East conflict keeping fuel prices elevated, further interest rate rises, weaker consumer sentiment and higher cost of living pressures. FY27 revenue and underlying EBITA excluding VAFI consolidation are now expected to be up to 5% lower than FY26 continuing operations, which were revenue of $986.2m and underlying EBITA of $191.6m. Including VAFI, consolidated from 1 October 2026 (50.1%), both are expected to be broadly in line with FY26 continuing operations. Amotiv targets a further $10m of net annualised benefits from Amotiv Unified in FY27 and announced an on-market buyback of up to 5% of shares on issue.

The outlook assumes prevailing conditions continue, no material adverse events and delivery of further Amotiv Unified benefits. The release gives no dollar range for FY27 and does not quantify the one-off costs.
