About Plenti (ASX:PLT)
Plenti Group Limited is an ASX-listed consumer and commercial lender headquartered in Sydney. It provides automotive, renewable energy and personal loans through broker, partner and direct channels using its own technology platform, funding them through warehouse facilities and asset-backed securitisations.
Plenti (ASX:PLT) released its September quarter trading update to report it passed $600m in quarterly loan originations for the first time, achieving its FY27 exit run-rate objective in 2Q27, ahead of its 1H27 results on 25 November 2026.
Loan originations were $613m, up 29% on PCP and 14% on the prior quarter, and the loan portfolio grew to $3.5bn, up 24% on PCP. Revenue was $89.7m, up 18% on PCP. By vertical, consumer automotive originations were $180m, commercial $129m, renewable energy $117m, up 105% on PCP with support from government battery programs, and personal lending $186m. The NAB powered by Plenti portfolio reached $186 million. Annualised net credit losses were 96bps, compared with 94bps in PCP, and 90+ day arrears were 42bps, down from 46bps at the end of the prior quarter but up from 35bps at the end of PCP. The average net interest margin on new originations held at ~5.3%. The market component of funding costs rose by ~40 basis points in September, and Plenti raised customer pricing in September and again in October. It says the back book is not affected because most loans are fixed and hedged at origination.
All numbers are preliminary and unaudited. The release gives no profit figure for the quarter and does not quantify its Cash PBT growth objective, though it says it remains on track for its objectives for the year to 31 March 2027.
