About Viva Energy (ASX:VEA)

Viva Energy Group Limited is an ASX-listed energy company that supplies fuel across Australia. It owns and operates the Geelong refinery in Victoria, supplies a national network of service stations and operates a convenience retail business, alongside commercial fuel supply to aviation, marine and transport customers.

Viva Energy Group Limited (ASX:VEA) provided a trading update for the six months ended 30 June 2026 (1H26). Unaudited 1H26 Group EBITDA (replacement cost) is expected to be approximately $770 to $780 million, up from $305 million in 1H25. The result reflects strong Energy & Infrastructure performance from elevated regional refining margins, growth in Commercial & Industrial sales volumes supported by favourable supply and hedging arrangements, and improved Convenience & Mobility performance. The Geelong Refining Margin rose to US$21.1 per barrel on crude intake of 19.7 million barrels in 1H26, compared with US$8.2 per barrel in 1H25. Total group sales volumes increased 1.5% to 8,490 megalitres. Net debt at 30 June 2026 was approximately $1.7 billion, down from $2.1 billion at 31 December 2025.

By segment, Energy & Infrastructure EBITDA (RC) is expected to be approximately $353 million, with Geelong production returning to over 90% of normal capacity following the restart of the RCCU and associated units in June, after a fire in the Alkylation unit on 15 April 2026. Commercial & Industrial EBITDA (RC) is expected to be approximately $305 million, with sales volumes up 1.0% on 1H25. Convenience & Mobility EBITDA (RC) is expected to be approximately $138 million, with fuel sales volumes up 2.4%. The Company said regional refining margins are expected to remain above long-term averages through the remainder of FY26 and that it expects to open approximately 20 to 25 new OTR stores in FY26.
