About Mayne Pharma (ASX:MYX)

Mayne Pharma Group Limited is an ASX-listed specialty pharmaceutical company headquartered in Adelaide. It commercialises dermatology and women's health medicines, primarily in the United States, and operates a direct-to-patient prescription distribution platform through its licensed pharmacy, Adelaide Apothecary. The company also provides contract development and manufacturing services to clients worldwide.

Mayne Pharma (ASX:MYX)'s first quarter update shows lower revenue and earnings as Dermatology sales fell after generic competition, while Women's Health prescriptions grew and several legal matters were resolved.

Unaudited 1Q FY27 revenue was $95.7 million, down 2% on the pcp, with gross margin of 63%. Gross profit was $60.3 million, down 8%, direct contribution was $23.3 million, down 23%, and underlying EBITDA was $5.3 million, down 52%, which the company attributes to planned Women's Health investment and the anticipated generic RHOFADE® entry. Reported EBITDA was a loss of $1.6 million after $6.9 million of non-recurring items, mainly legal costs of $6.0 million. Total prescriptions for BIJUVA® rose 25% on the pcp and IMVEXXY® 13%, while NEXTSTELLIS® demand cycles rose 27%. DistributeRx delivered 84k total prescriptions, up 120%. Adjusted operating cashflow from continuing operations was an outflow of $2.1 million, which the company attributes mainly to the timing of gross-to-net cash payments. Cash and marketable securities were $67.3 million at 30 September 2026. IMVEXXY® patent litigation was settled with Sun Pharma and Teva, and a legacy generic drug pricing civil action was resolved for a one-time payment of US$0.65 million with no admission of liability.

The pricing settlement is subject to court approval and the damages claim against Cosette continues. The FY27 outlook is qualitative, with no earnings guidance figure.
