About Civmec (ASX:CVL)
Civmec Limited is an ASX and SGX-listed construction and engineering company headquartered in Henderson, Western Australia. It provides multidisciplinary fabrication, modularisation, site construction and maintenance services to energy, resources, infrastructure and marine and defence clients.
Civmec (ASX:CVL) said it has secured new contract awards and extensions with a combined value exceeding A$220 million, expected to be delivered across FY27 and FY28. The centrepiece is the construction contract for the gallium production plant at Alcoa's Wagerup Alumina Refinery in Western Australia.
Civmec will deliver multidisciplinary construction of the plant's process facilities, including civil, structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical and instrumentation works, plus the process building, tanks, laboratory and supporting infrastructure, and will support Alcoa through commissioning. The project follows a final investment decision in July 2026 and an August 2026 groundbreaking, and is expected to support up to 200 local construction jobs. Other awards include the Bulk Cargo Terminal works contract at Glencore's Murrin Murrin Operations and further maintenance awards, panel extensions and orders. These awards take Civmec's order book to approximately A$1.5 billion. The release does not break out the value of the Wagerup or Murrin Murrin contracts individually within the A$220 million total.
