About BTC Health (ASX:BTC)

BTC Health Limited is an ASX-listed Pooled Development Fund headquartered in Hawthorn, Victoria. It makes active investments in businesses that acquire, develop and distribute medical products in Australia and New Zealand. Its portfolio businesses supply specialised therapeutics and medical devices.

BTC Health Limited (ASX:BTC) has advised that Arna Pharma Pty Ltd was placed into voluntary administration on 7 September 2026, following the appointment of administrators by Arna Pharma's board. Arna Pharma manufactures Bronchitol and Aridol, and BTC Pharma Pty Ltd, a wholly owned company of BTC Health, is the Australian sponsor of both products and holds the exclusive distribution rights. Both products are TGA-registered and Bronchitol is listed on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme. The release states they are manufactured only at Arna Pharma's Sydney facility.

BTC Health said BTC Pharma is a customer of Arna Pharma and that neither BTC Pharma nor BTC Health is a shareholder, lender, guarantor or related party of Arna Pharma, that there are no directors in common, and that the group has no exposure to the administration other than ordinary supply arrangements. BTC Pharma currently holds approximately eight months of Bronchitol stock and less than one month of Aridol stock. Arna Pharma has stated that it intends to recapitalise the business and maintain continuity of supply, and BTC Health said it cannot verify that position and gives no assurance that manufacture or supply will resume. Aridol and Bronchitol generated sales of $1.1 million in FY2026, and without further supply of these products BTC Health expects sales of Aridol and Bronchitol to be up to $0.5 million in FY2027. BTC Pharma is engaging with the administrators and, as sponsor of both products, with the Therapeutic Goods Administration and the Department of Health, Disability and Ageing regarding continuity of supply.
