Rhythm Completes ColoSTAT NHS Tech Transfer Phase

Rhythm Biosciences Ltd (ASX:RHY) reports that the Southern Hub research laboratory based at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust has completed technology transfer of ColoSTAT, so the Hub team can run the company's blood-based bowel cancer assay in its own laboratory using Rhythm's system and reagents.

This completes the first phase of the independent evaluation announced on 10 December 2025. The Hub expects to commence analytical evaluation immediately, with a clinical study to follow if that phase is successful. Rhythm says demonstrating transfer to and operation by a third-party laboratory supports its strategy to pursue laboratory partnerships in other key international markets, subject to local regulatory approvals, reimbursement and suitable commercial arrangements. ColoSTAT was launched in Australia as a clinical service; the company estimates the Australian opportunity at approximately 200,000 tests per year based on the estimated share of diagnostic colonoscopies.

Timing, scope and outcome of the analytical evaluation and clinical study are determined by the Hub and are not within Rhythm's control. There is no certainty either phase will succeed, or that the evaluation will result in NHS adoption or any commercial arrangement.
