About 6K Additive (ASX:6KA)

6K Additive, Inc. is an ASX-listed U.S. manufacturer of premium metal powders for additive manufacturing and related critical materials, headquartered in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. It uses proprietary UniMelt microwave plasma technology to produce nickel, titanium, copper and refractory powders from sustainable feedstocks.

6K Additive (ASX:6KA) executed a final loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of the United States for a US$27.4 million secured financing facility to support expansion of U.S. manufacturing capacity at Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

The EXIM Loan has a six-year term, is available for drawdown through 30 June 2028, and has an initial 12-month interest-only period followed by amortising principal over the remaining five years. It carries a fixed Commercial Interest Reference Rate to be set five business days before first disbursement (current published rate 5.38%). The facility comprises up to US$25.2 million for eligible project costs plus up to $2.2 million for the related EXIM exposure fee of 8.9% on disbursements, for an all-in annual borrowing cost of about 6.86% at current published rates, plus a 0.5% per annum commitment fee on undrawn and uncancelled commitments. Proceeds are immediately available to reimburse ongoing equipment and infrastructure purchases for the Burgettstown expansion, including four new buildings and advanced manufacturing equipment for nickel, titanium and refractory powder production. EXIM Board approval was announced on 4 December 2025 pending documentation; the loan is under the Make More in America Initiative in coordination with the U.S. Department of War Defense Production Act Title III initiative.

The release does not state the first drawdown date or total project capital cost beyond the facility size.
