About SHAPE (ASX:SHA)
SHAPE Australia Corporation Limited is an ASX-listed construction company headquartered in Sydney. It provides fitout, refurbishment and construction services for commercial, government, education, health and data centre clients across Australia.
SHAPE (ASX:SHA) Australia announced a ~$800 million head contract from DigiCo Infrastructure REIT for a 52 MW expansion of the SYD1 data centre campus in Sydney, which will lift its work in hand to in excess of $1.4 billion.
The fixed price lump sum Design & Construct Contract follows SHAPE's 20 MW Stage 1 upgrade at the same site, and the scope, design, programme and price were developed through an Early Contractor Involvement process. The project is an adaptive reuse of an existing data centre asset with approved grid capacity, water access and State Significant Development Approval in place. Together with the site's existing 16 MW and the 20 MW Stage 1 upgrade, the expansion will increase SYD1's total capacity to 88 MW. Works are expected to commence immediately, and the company expects the contract to materially contribute to revenue over FY27 and FY28.
The release gives no expected margin or earnings contribution from the contract, and does not split the expected revenue between FY27 and FY28.
