About Rubicon (ASX:RWL)
Rubicon Water Limited is an ASX-listed water technology company in the Industrials sector, headquartered in Melbourne. It designs and supplies canal automation, irrigation control systems and related software for agricultural water networks in Australia and international markets.
Rubicon (ASX:RWL) said a joint venture bid incorporating approximately A$12 million of its solutions has been selected as contractor for a major irrigation modernisation project in Morocco's Tadla region, with formal contract execution expected after a statutory appeal period.
ORMVAT, a Moroccan government agency, announced the selection through Morocco's official public procurement portal after administrative, technical and financial assessments. The successful bid was submitted by a joint venture between Rubicon's Spanish and Moroccan partners. Under Moroccan tender law there is a statutory 15-day appeal period. The project covers regulation of main canals serving the Béni Moussa irrigation perimeter of about 69,600 hectares. Rubicon's scope is to include Total Channel Control (TCC) technology, automated canal regulation gates, communications infrastructure and the NeuroFlo software platform. Rubicon says its contract will be denominated in euros and will include secure payment terms. Provided it is contracted and the project is commissioned, Tadla would be Rubicon's largest contract to date in the EMEA region and its second-largest single contract outside Australia. CEO Bruce Rodgerson said Tadla is one of five major incremental opportunities totalling A$47 million categorised as Close in Rubicon's FY26 results presentation.
No signed contract is yet in place. Completion depends on the appeal period and formal execution. The release does not state the euro contract value beyond the approximate A$12 million of Rubicon solutions in the selected joint venture bid.
