About Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL)
Nordic Resources Ltd is an ASX-listed mineral exploration company headquartered in Perth. It explores for gold and copper in the Middle Ostrobothnia region of Finland, where it holds the Kopsa, Kiimala Trend and Hirsikangas projects.
Nordic Resources (ASX:NNL) released an interim Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Kopsa gold-copper-silver deposit in Central Finland to capture drilling reported to end July 2026 and include silver in the resource for the first time.
The pit-constrained JORC (2012) MRE is 44.0Mt @ 1.07g/t AuEq for 1.52Moz AuEq, containing 1.18Moz gold, 71kt copper and 3.50Moz silver, at a 0.4g/t AuEq cutoff. Of the total AuEq ounces, 86% are in the Measured and Indicated categories. The company says the Kopsa MRE increased by 86% from 9,631m of drilling, and that 97% of the in situ block model sits inside the optimised pit shell, with an estimated strip ratio of approximately 4:1. AuEq figures were calculated by the company using US$3,500/oz gold, US$14,000/t copper and US$60/oz silver, with recoveries of 88%, 89% and 79%. Company resources across three neighbouring deposits now total 55.2Mt @ 1.09g/t AuEq for 1.93Moz AuEq. A mining licence has been conditionally granted at Kopsa, and a new 12,000m drill program is underway.
The release contains no development economics. A Scoping Study is expected only after further resource updates, with the next Kopsa MRE anticipated in Q2 2027, and an auxiliary mining licence application is still in progress.
