About EDU Holdings (ASX:EDU)

EDU Holdings Limited is an ASX-listed tertiary education group headquartered in Sydney. It delivers higher education through Ikon Institute and vocational education and training through Australian Learning Group.

EDU Holdings (ASX:EDU) released its Trimester 3 2026 enrolment numbers, showing growth in total students driven by higher education while new student intake fell and new Student visa rules took effect.

Group total student enrolments rose 26% to 7,489 in T3'26 from 5,962 in the PCP, and year-to-date enrolments of 22,198 were also up 26%. Higher Education enrolments at Ikon Institute rose 45% to 6,571 and now make up 88% of the Group, up from 75%. Group new student enrolments fell 13% to 1,194, which the company attributes to softness in its vocational offering. Higher Education new student enrolments were 1,074, in line with 1,072 in the PCP: international new students fell 10%, which the company links to regulatory changes affecting onshore transfers, while domestic new students rose 78% and made up 20% of Ikon's intake. Postgraduate students were 28% of Higher Education enrolments, up from 14%. Vocational (VET) total enrolments in T4'26 were 918, against 1,425 in the PCP. Reforms effective 2 October 2026 generally require Student visa applications to be made from outside Australia, and the restricted transfer period for most overseas students has temporarily risen from 6 to 12 months until 30 June 2027.

The company says the reforms may reduce onshore transfer activity and affect the timing and composition of future international commencements, but does not quantify the effect. The release gives no revenue or earnings figures.
