About Cyclopharm (ASX:CYC)

Cyclopharm Limited is an ASX-listed radiopharmaceutical company headquartered in Sydney. It manufactures and sells Technegas, a lung ventilation imaging agent used in nuclear medicine departments in markets including Europe, Asia, Canada and the United States.

Cyclopharm (ASX:CYC) announced that seven Chinese medical bodies have published an expert consensus naming its Technegas product the preferred ventilation agent for lung imaging in pulmonary embolism (PE), following US and international guidelines released in July 2026.

The Consensus was published in the October 2026 issue of the Chinese Journal of Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases, a peer-reviewed journal of the Chinese Medical Association. The first of its ten recommendations states that 99mTc-Technegas is recommended as the preferred radiopharmaceutical for ventilation imaging, with DTPA aerosol to be used only if Technegas is unavailable. The recommendation was agreed unanimously by working group members. The work was led by the Chinese Thoracic Society of the Chinese Medical Association and included pulmonary vascular, pulmonary hypertension and nuclear medicine bodies. It recognises lung V/Q imaging for screening, follow-up and treatment response in PE and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), and sets out a protocol for pregnant women with suspected PE. Cyclopharm cites a 2024 national survey reporting 1,237 nuclear medicine departments in China, of which 787 offer SPECT imaging, the technique used for Technegas lung scans.

The release does not give Technegas sales or volumes in China or any expected revenue effect from the Consensus.
