Capricorn Metals (ASX:CMM) gave a preliminary September 2026 quarter update for Karlawinda, reporting 31,218 ounces of gold production in line with the FY27 mine plan and saying the Karlawinda Expansion Project was completed on schedule and within budget.
Ore milled was 1,133,000 tonnes at 0.94 g/t head grade and 91.7% recovery. The company remains on track for FY27 guidance of 137,000 to 147,000 ounces at an AISC of $1,900 to $2,100 per ounce. KEP has been incorporated into Karlawinda, lifting processing capacity to 6.5Mtpa and expected production to 150,000 ounces per annum after commissioning on low-grade feed and a move to run-of-mine grade for Q2. Cash and gold on hand ended the quarter at $535.0 million (June quarter $507.0m), with underlying cash build of $62.2 million before $42.7 million of KEP and Mt Gibson capital spend and $8.5 million cash from the Big Springs divestment.
