About Acusensus (ASX:ACE)
Acusensus Limited is an ASX-listed technology company headquartered in Melbourne. It develops camera systems and artificial intelligence software used by road authorities and police to detect offences including mobile phone use, seatbelt non-compliance and speeding, and it also supplies a roadside worker safety system. It sells into Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.
Acusensus Limited (ASX:ACE) announced that its wholly owned subsidiary Acusensus Australia Pty Ltd has signed an agreement with the State of Victoria, acting through the Department of Justice and Community Safety, for the design, supply, installation and commissioning of road safety camera systems at nominated sites in Victoria. Under the Test Site Agreement, Acusensus will deliver infrastructure at two test sites along a Victorian freeway, which the company said will allow its equipment to be tested for instantaneous speed and average speed enforcement. The release states the sites are for testing only and will not be issuing infringements.
The agreement has an initial term of two years, with the State able to extend the term on up to four further occasions of up to two years each, representing a potential total term of up to 10 years. Acusensus said the total contract value is approximately $1.7 million for the two-year term, excluding GST, with the majority of the pricing related to supply and installation of the infrastructure. The systems are expected to be installed by mid-2027. Founder and Managing Director Alexander Jannink said the company was delighted to bring its technology into its home state of Victoria and looked forward to growing its relationship with the Department of Justice and Community Safety over time.
