VRX Silica (ASX:VRX) Investor Presentation

Company Interview03 Mar, 2026

VRX Silica (ASX:VRX) is advancing its position as a leading supplier of high-quality silica sand, with five major projects in Western Australia and over 1.4 billion tonnes in mineral resources. Managing director Bruce Maluish notes that Asia faces a critical shortage of suitable sand—despite perceptions of abundance, most desert and beach sands are unsuitable due to high iron content and other impurities. The company’s Arrowsmith North project, currently moving towards a final investment decision, is expected to produce 2 million tonnes per year, primarily for export markets in Asia, supported by offtake contracts in Korea, Taiwan, the Philippines, and China.

Maluish highlights the growing industrial reliance on specific grades of silica sand, especially in foundry industries, glass production, and water filtration. He points out that much of the global demand for casting sand in the automobile industry is unmet locally in Asia due to export bans from other countries, positioning VRX Silica as a key alternative supplier. Additionally, the company is exploring new markets, including 3D printing for electric vehicle components, and sees strong future demand for ultra-clear glass sand used in solar panels.

Environmental stewardship remains a priority, with unique rehabilitation strategies and ongoing adjustments to approvals and project locations to minimise environmental impact. Maluish states that VRX Silica is well-capitalised, experienced, and ready to deliver its first products to market.
