Orthocell (ASX:OCC) posts seventh consecutive quarter of record revenueExpansion continues in the US, Hong Kong, Canada, and Asia-PacificRegenerative collagen device gaining traction in diverse clinical settingsGrowing global approvals and strong financial position underpin positive outlook
Orthocell (ASX:OCC) has achieved its seventh consecutive quarter of record revenue, generating $3.2 million for the December quarter, underpinned by ongoing sales of its nerve repair product, Remplir, across existing markets. Chairman John Van Der Wielen highlights that Orthocell currently holds nearly $50 million in cash and has focused on financial discipline to manage controlled and consistent growth. Entry into the US market has already started to bear results, with $90,000 revenue reported in December, and Van Der Wielen expects momentum to build in the coming months as the company rolls out its strategy across newly approved regions, including Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, Australia, and New Zealand.
Van Der Wielen points to the unique value of Orthocell’s regenerative collagen device, which aids nerve regeneration and restores function for patients with severe injuries. In Australia, the device has now been used in over 200 prostatectomy procedures, reflecting expanding clinical use and broadening opportunities. The ongoing applications for approvals in the EU and UK are seen as significant future growth drivers.
On the outlook for investors, Van Der Wielen refers to Orthocell’s strong balance sheet, lack of debt, and full ownership of its products and manufacturing. He suggests that increased revenue is likely as market penetration improves and hints at potential interest from large pharmaceutical and distribution companies as Orthocell’s global footprint grows.
