Credit Corp (ASX: CCP) is forecasting it's on track to achieve full year NPAT growth of 6 to 17%. Net profit for the half year came in at just over $44-million dollars, in line with the prior year. This reflected reduced earnings in the half arising from strong loan book growth and disruptions to its debt purchases in Australia and New Zealand. CEO Thomas Beregi tays both these factors will produce higher earnings over the second half -- and is also confident on the outlook for the US business. Investors will receive an interim dividend of 32-cents a share. Credit Corp has also named Sarah Brennan as a Non-Executive Director of the company's board.
Commonwealth Bank (ASX: CBA) says its recognised a $68-million dollar provision for the 2026 half year relating to an additional goodwill payment. The payment was made to certain customers after an ASIC review. The bank has also recognised $53-million in one off items, including in relation to the sale of Commonwealth Insurance.
Xero (ASX: XRO) says the company is looking to expand its global AI offerings and US payments business. Chief executive Sukhinder Singh Cassidy says more than two million subscribers are using core AI features and 300,000 are using newer GenAI tools. The firm is holding an investor briefing today.
Neuren Pharmaceuticals (ASX: NEU) has received a negative vote on a marketing authorisation application for its Rett Syndrome treatment in the European Union. Its licensee Acadia Pharmaceuticals will request a re-examination of the opinion.
Telix Pharmaceuticals (ASX: TLX) says non executive director and chair, Tiffany Olson, has resigned effective immediately after less than a year in the role. Independent director, Dr Mark Nelson, will act in the role until a permanent replacement is found. Dr Nelson says the board supports Olson's personal decision.
And NRW Holdings (ASX: NWH) has secured new contracts including a bulk earthworks contract with Rio Tinto at its West Angelas iron ore mine in the Pilbara. The contract is worth around $175-million dollars and will employ around 220 people at its peak. It has been awarded two other contracts worth nearly $100-million dollars in Western Australia.
Qoria (ASX: QOR) shares are jumping.... after confirming US based Aura Consolidated will acquire the tech firm in a deal worth $972 million -- or US$675 million. Under the proposed offer, Aura will acquire all of Qoria at an implied price of A$0.72 per share, more than double the stock's last close. Ron Shamgar from TAMIM Asset Management says the combined business could become a top 100 company. Qoria provides cyber security solutions for schools and families --- its platform is used by 32,000 schools, supporting 9 million parents.
