The S&P/ASX 200 pushed 0.15% higher during Thursday's trade as Nvidia reported above expectations, and a US Federal Court deemed the use of Executive Orders to impose tariffs as unconstitutional. 

The Trump Administration announced its intention to appeal, but in the meantime, the S&P/ASX 200 climbed to 8409.80 points, a gain of 0.15%. 

 Asian markets had a good session, however the local materials sector was more contrasted. BHP shed 0.8%.

On the other hand, Capstone Copper topped the charts as Chile, copper’s biggest producer, upgraded its price forecast for the commodity.  Champion Iron advanced 0.5%, seemingly convincing investors it could reverse its FY25 profit slump. 

 Elsewhere, higher oil prices gave a push to Woodside and Santos.

 And Elders was 1.1% higher despite the ACCC raising concerns on the proposed acquisition of Delta Agribusiness, however negotiations are still underway.

 Tonight, US GDP data is due, along with pending home sales. Best Buy, Costco, Foot Locker, Gap and Marvell Technology release earnings. 

 Tomorrow, investors will assess new April data on building approvals along with retail spending.
