Greg Boland from Tiger Brokers discussed the recent positive session in the U.S. stock market, with the S&P 500 rising 1.8%, driven by gains in major tech stocks like Tesla (NASDAQ:TSLA) and NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA). Tesla, in particular, saw a 12% rally following news that its self-driving feature could be available in China by mid-April. Despite this, the S&P 500 remains down 1.9% year-to-date.
Market analysts are also focusing on the Volatility Index (VIX), which has dropped from a peak of 29 to around 17, signaling potential bullish momentum.
However, technical indicators suggest the S&P 500 could face resistance at 5760, with possible fluctuations in either direction. Greg also touches on the performance of the "Magnificent 7" tech stocks, with Meta (NASDAQ:META) standing out as the top performer, while stocks like Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) and NVIDIA struggle. Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) is highlighted as a key stock for 2025. The market outlook remains uncertain but cautiously optimistic.
