Carroll states that an early Swinburne University study on six patients shows one of the strongest early‑phase psychedelic therapy signals he has seen in eating disorders, with all participants reportedly achieving clinically meaningful improvement and half reaching complete remission from binge episodes four weeks after treatment. He notes that participants had previously failed standard options such as antidepressants and cognitive behavioural therapy.

Carroll adds that the single‑infusion treatment appears to coincide with broader mental health gains, claiming around 60% reductions in anxiety and depression and a 63% improvement in life satisfaction measures across the cohort. He argues that binge eating disorder is widespread, under‑treated and associated with shame, and suggests psychedelic therapeutics could offer a differentiated pathway in neuropsychiatry.

Beyond binge eating, Carroll highlights plans to target fibromyalgia and irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), both viewed as somatic pain conditions with neurological links. He cites earlier phase two work with oral psilocybin in IBS conducted with Harvard University, reporting a 75% response rate, and expects IV delivery to enhance outcomes. He notes Entropy holds over $6 million in cash to fund approximately 70 patient infusions across upcoming trials.
