Key points:

Indonesian seaweed export business ramping to ~AUD $300k–$550k in monthly salesFocus on carrageenan supply into China, Korea and Indonesia via two warehouse hubsR&D push into biostimulant fertiliser, probiotic drinks and anti‑ageing productsNo debt and recent capital raise seen as supporting expansion and new offtake deals

BPH Global (ASX:BP8) is, according to CEO Matthew Leonard, positioning itself as a growing player in Indonesia’s seaweed and marine biotechnology sector, with revenue momentum building from its export operations and product pipeline.

Leonard states that BPH Global has established two Indonesian warehouses in Makassar and Nunukan to source, dry and clean local raw seaweed before exporting it to China, Korea and domestic buyers, where it is processed into carrageenan for food applications. He indicates that monthly sales have risen from about AUD $150,000 to between AUD $300,000–$550,000, putting the company on track to reach around $3 million in revenue in its first 12 months of trading, with the aim of doubling this over the following year. Leonard also notes that the Indonesian subsidiary is already at break-even after around ten months.

On the innovation side, Leonard highlights work with Temasek Polytechnic, Singapore Polytechnic, Marchwood Labs and Indonesian partner Bryn on higher‑margin seaweed-based biostimulant fertiliser, probiotic health beverages and anti‑ageing products. He views the addressable carrageenan and related markets at around US$30 billion, and says BPH Global is well funded after a recent capital raise, with no debt and strong offtake potential from the world’s largest carrageenan manufacturer.
