Santos's Barossa LNG project in the Timor Sea is beginning production operations. Santos (ASX: STO) says recent testing demonstrates a production capacity exceeding pre-drill estimates. The Northern Territory Environmental Authority has renewed Santos's license for its Darwin LNG project. The development comes in the wake of the the collapse of the $36 billion takeover deal last week.

Elsewhere - Newmont (ASX: NEM) has sold its 13% holding in Orla Mining, a North American gold explorer. CEO Tom Plamer says Newmont is streamlining its equity portfolio, and that the sale will bring an additional US$439 million in cash.

And looking at IDP Education (ASX: IEL) as one of its director just bought an additional 4,000 shares for a total value of $22,000.

Regis Healthcare (ASX: REG) expects earnings to grow 3 to 7% in FY26. The company points to a positive impact from the acquisition of Rockpool's aged care homes, as well as trading levels year to date. Regis Healthcare still notes a negative impact for staffing costs due to the Government's update of the residential age care funding system.

Elsewhere - Reece (ASX: REH) is targeting a $250 million off-market share buyback. CEO Peter Wilson says the company has a "strong" balance sheet and remains optimistic for the long-term, despite short term headwinds. In its FY25 results, the plumbing company called the US market "constrained" with US housing facing affordability challenges.... as well as a slow recovery in Australia New Zealand.
