Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO) has left its 2026 production guidance unchanged ... after reporting a 7% rise in second-quarter iron ore sales. The world's largest iron ore producer sold 85.3 million metric tonnes of iron ore from its Pilbara operations in the three months ended June, up from 79.9 million MT sold last year and above expectations. Rio Tinto also said operational impacts from tensions in the Middle East remain limited and narrowed its 2026 guidance range for copper C1 net unit costs.
Evolution Mining (ASX:EVN) has met its 2026 financial year production and cost guidance, delivering 715,000 ounces of gold and 66,000 tonnes of copper while generating a record $1.39 billion in group cash flow. Evolution says all major growth projects remain on schedule and within budget, but expects inflation to push FY27 costs up by 4 to 5 per cent as capital spending increases to support the next phase of development.
Elsewhere - Vulcan Energy (ASX:VUL) has received the first tranche of equity funding from strategic partners for its Lionheart lithium and geothermal project. Lionheart is located in the Upper Rhine Valley between Germany and France and targets production of 24,000 tonnes of lithium hydroxide per year.
Amplitude Energy (ASX:AEL) has agreed to acquire a 50% stake in the Artisan gas field from Beach Energy for 58.3 million dollars in cash plus a future production royalty.
And Predictive Discovery (ASX:PDI) is making a US$10 million strategic investment in West African exploration company Awalé Resources.
Nicole Sheffield has been appointed Webjet (ASX:WJL) CEO. She was previously the managing director at One Digital, a financial consultancy under the Wesfarmers umbrella.
And, Auckland Airport (ASX:AIA) has seen a 4% decline in passenger numbers over June. Domestic traffic led the overall decline, but specific Middle-East routes remain heavily disrupted with a 62% drop from last year of flights to the region. However, overall traffic is up 2% over the past 12 month, with Queenstown Airport outperforming.
Kingsgate Consolidated (ASX:KCN) is higher today... it has restored some operations at its Chatree Gold Mine in Thailand. Roughly 50 percent of its Plant 1's processing capacity is back on, bringing total Chatree capacity to over 4 million tonnes per annum. The stock had shed around 30% of its value over the past two days due to the outage.
