Company Interview16 Jun, 2026

Karoon Energy (ASX:KAR) shares are falling -- after downgrading its 2026 production guidance. This follows a setback at its Who Dat oil project in the Gulf of Mexico. Operator LLOG Exploration says production through a key part of the field won't be restored this year as previously hoped. That has also prompted a downgrade to Karoon’s overall production guidance, now expected to come in at 7.2 to 8.2 million barrels for 2026, compared with its previous forecast of 8.1 to 9.2 million barrels.

IFM Investors has increased its stake in Atlas Arteria (ASX:ALX) to close to 40% as it pursues a takeover of the toll road operator. IFM has raised its takeover offer to $5.10 a security saying that's its final offer unless a competing bid emerges. Atlas Arteria has again urged investors to reject the takeover bid. It says says the bid does not reflect fair value.

Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (ASX:SXE) is rising after emerging from a trading halt, with investors welcoming its $150 million institutional placement priced at $4 a share. The capital raising was strongly supported by both existing shareholders and new institutional investors.

Qube (ASX:QUB) shareholders have voted in favour of a proposed takeover by Rubik Australia. Nearly 98-percent of votes cast were in support of the takeover. Shareholders will receive $5.20 a share in the deal, which values Qube at 9.3 billion dollars.

Tabcorp (ASX:TAH) says Macquarie Group has bought a just over 5-percent stake in the company. Meanwhile, Japan's Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group has acquired a near 6% stake.

HomeCo Daily Needs REIT (ASX:HDN) has posted a preliminary unaudited $92 million valuation gain for the June half, lifting its property portfolio value 1.8 per cent to $5.19 billion. The uplift, driven by higher net operating income and tenant-led developments, marks the fifth straight period of positive revaluations for the convenience retail landlord.

Centuria Capital Group (ASX:CNI) has announced a strategic partnership with ResetData to build sovereign AI infrastructure in Australia.

And Centuria Industrial REIT (ASX:CIP) has outlined a data centre expansion strategy across multiple Australian sites. The REIT plans developments in Clayton, Thomastown and Toowoomba.
