Insurance Australia Group (ASX:IAG) has settled a major portion of the long running Greensill ligitation. It has resolved Federal Court proceedings brought by Greensill Bank and its insolvency administrator over disputed trade insurance policies. The settled proceedings relate to insurance policies with claimed amounts totalling about $4-billion dollars plus interest. The insurer says the settlement will not have a material impact on its financial position. IAG is continuing to defend separate proceedings brought by Credit Suisse and White Oak entities worth about $3-billion dollars plus interest.
Webjet’s chief executive Katrina Barry will leave the online travel company on Sunday. Long-serving finance executive Layton Shannos will become acting chief executive while the board searches for a permanent replacement. Barry resigned in March after overseeing the demerger and ASX listing of Webjet (ASX:WJL).
Bubs Australia (ASX:BUB) expects FY26 revenue of $105 million to $115 million dollars as expansion in the US helped offset supply chain disruptions and regulatory headwinds. The company says reported EBITDA is expected to range between a $2 million loss and a $2 million profit. That's after higher freight costs, product availability constraints, geopolitical disruption in the Middle East and increased competitive pressure weighed on earnings.
Judo Capital (ASX:JDO) has priced a $750 million capital-relief securitisation backed by SME loans, expanding the deal from an initially planned $500 million amid strong investor demand. Notes are priced at 171 basis points over a one-month BBSW. The transaction is expected to deliver a 25–30 basis point uplift to FY27 return on equity.
