Company Interview23 Mar, 2026

ARN Media (ASX:A1N) says it will defend legal proceedings commenced by broadcaster Kyle Sandilands, who is accusing the radio network of unconscionable conduct for cancelling his $100 million dollar contract. ARN terminated his contract and accused him of misconduct following an on air fight with his co-host Jackie Henderson. ARN says it disputes the claim and will fight it.

Medibank (ASX:MPL) has failed in the Federal Court to keep key documents confidential over a 2022 cyber attack. The insurer will now be required to produce the reports to applicants in a consumer class action case.

Gold miner St Barbara (ASX:SBM) says its Simberi operations in Papua New Guinea have more than three months of diesel supply despite global energy disruptions. Meanwhile key approvals for a $370-million deal over Simberi with China's Lingbao Gold Group and Kumul Mineral Holdings have been secured with the deal expected to be completed next month.

Macmahan Holdings (ASX:MAH) has signed a letter of intent with Wolfram to restart operations at the Mount Carlton gold mine in northern Queensland. The deal covers surface and underground mining as well as civil infrastructure services and the contract is expected to be worth $250-million dollars once finalised. Macmahon says its 2026 guidance remains unchanged.

Synlait Milk (ASX:SM1) has reported a first half loss of nearly $81-million New Zealand dollars as operational setbacks and falling diary prices hit earnings. It follows manufacturing disruptions and a sharp fall in milk powder prices. The firm reported an EBITDA loss of nearly $35-million NZ dollars despite revenue lifting to $949-million dollars. Synlait has outlined a three stage recovery plan. This includes the divestment of its North Island operations.
