Anthropic has lodged paperwork with the US corporate regulator for an initial public offering that could come within months. The AI firm says the filing gives it the option go public after the Securities and Exchange Commission completes its review. Anthropic says the proposed IPO will depend on market conditions and other factors. The AI firm is getting of rival Open AI which is readying its own confidential filing. Elon Musk's SpaceX has officially filed its prospectus and is gearing up for a roadshow this week.

Wesfarmers (ASX:WES) will transfer its Blackwoods and Workwear businesses into Bunnings from the first of July. The firm says the move will leverage the scale and capabilities of both businesses following operational improvements completed last year. It is expected to strengthen Bunning's position in the small and medium sized business market.

4DMedical (ASX:4DX) has launched a clinical evidence program to accelerate entry of its CT:VQ imaging technology into the acute pulmonary embolism market. The company has entered a research agreement with Mass General Brigham, with US$2 million in committed funding. The prospective study will compare CT:VQ head-to-head with the current standard of care in patients. The program targets expansion beyond the existing market of one million scans annually to the larger opportunity of approximately five million scans per year in the United States.

Collins Foods (ASX:CKF) has completed the acquisition of eight KFC restaurants in Bavaria, Germany, increasing its store network in the country by about 50 per cent. The restaurants provide Collins Foods with a larger foothold in Munich and support its strategy to make Germany its second major growth market alongside Australia. The earnings contribution from the acquisition will be consolidated into the company’s results from June 1.

Transport operator Kelsian (ASX:KLS) has secured a two-year extension of its Sydney bus contract, which is expected to add about $500 million in revenue through to June 2028. The extension covers the operation and maintenance of 528 buses across Sydney’s inner west and includes a fleet replacement program under which Transport for NSW will supply 151 additional electric buses.

Atlas Arteria (ASX:ALX) has again urged shareholders to reject IFM Investors’ takeover offer. It says the bid materially undervalues the toll road operator and remains below independent valuation estimates. The said its independent directors continue to unanimously recommend shareholders reject the offer.

Activist hedge fund, Elliott Management, has demanded urgent action at Northern Star (ASX:NST). It has accused the miner of operational missteps, cost overruns and inconsistent strategic direction. Elliott has confirmed it amassed a position of well over $1 billion dollars in the companies. The firm has lagged its peers after a series of production downgrades which led to the departure of chief executive, Stuart Tonkin, last month.
