The system integrates artificial intelligence to detect people and vehicles, reducing false alarms triggered by animals or environmental factors. Immediate incident assessment and live intervention are then undertaken by staff in a control room, who can interact with potential intruders and notify police if necessary.

Singh considers the Australian security market to be underpenetrated, with only about 4% of the market having professionally monitored systems. He claims that while many Australians have cameras, these only record events after they occur rather than prevent them. Singh sees a significant growth opportunity, positioning ADT as the first major global brand to offer a solution developed at scale.

Reflecting on Intelligent Monitoring Group’s strategy, Singh mentions recent acquisitions, including Western Advance, which expands their footprint in the enterprise security and oil and gas sectors. Singh states that organic growth is the primary focus, complemented by acquisitions that bolster technical expertise, particularly to meet rising crime concerns in regions like Victoria.
