The Australian share market is set to open lower with ASX futures down 0.3%.U.S. Treasury yields resumed their upward trend, despite fresh assurances from Treasury Secretary Bessent of liquidity support for long-dated notes and bonds.That saw investor sentiment turn sharply negative with the S&P 500 down 0.85%, the Nasdaq losing 1%, while the Dow dropped 1.27%,The consumer discretionary sector was the biggest drag on Wall Street with Walmart shares tumbling after it missed forecasts for quarterly comparable sales.Oil prices jumped to their highest level in nearly a month, after President Trump warned of retaliation against nations supporting Iran; Brent crude up 2% to $93 a barrel.Gold is marginally higher at $4,525 an ounce, while Bitcoin's resurgence continues, jumping 6% to US$72,500.The Aussie dollar is around 71.1 US cents.Among the companies reporting earnings today are DigiCo Infrastructure, Guzman y Gomez, Inghams, Lifestyle Communities and TPG Telecom.
